Parametric Ceiling Relief

Summary:

This penthouse ceiling was one of the first projects I worked on at Wiseman Studio. Most of the design and fabrication of this piece was done in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although I have experience with many other types of CNC machinery, this was the first time I operated a CNC Router. I worked with a 4-man team to create this large-scale sculptural ceiling out of urethane foam. In addition to exclusively operating the CNC machine, I developed Grasshopper definitions to digitize David's sketches and designed a system for the assembly and installation of the ceiling.
