Biography.
Growing up in rural south GA, I had a childhood filled with drawing, music, computers, and video games. My mother, a biologist, imbued me with a scientific mindset, strong work ethic, and a love for nature, while my father gave me curiosity and a love of tinkering and technology. They tolerated my constant questions and worked diligently to expose me to as many unique experiences as possible. I never took apart the family toaster, but I did play with Lego, drew hundreds of new inventions, and went on many camping trips.
I chose to pursue Industrial Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design, graduating with a BFA in 2018. Since then, I have had the privilege to work in Robotics, Furniture, Electric Vehicles, Architecture, and Fine Art.
Gravitating toward technical and computational design, I have an incredibly diverse skill set, hallmarked by a love of the minute details and curiosity for how things work. My design method is defined by a deep technical understanding of the tools and systems used and a desire to make things that make life just "that" much easier. This deep understanding allows me to optimize, adapt, and create solutions to complex problems.
I love hiking, climbing, music, art, and tech. I like taking apart everything (even the things IÂ love) and improving the objects and experiences around me. In the future, I hope to return to school to pursue a master's degree in Engineering. I want to continue combining my love of hardware and software to create new things and solve more problems!
